VEAP BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM
Surprise! School schedules will soon be POPPING OUT on the calendar. August is the time for readiness and many children will not have the funds or materials schools require upon their return to the classroom. These tools are essential in attaining a good education. The VEAP program provides children in need with a bag of basic school supplies plus a backpack or a calculator. A wish list is provided below or $15 gift cards from Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl’s will suffice. All items donated must be NEW. A drop off location is located in the fellowship hall. Thanks for your support.
Wish List: Backpacks, scientific calculators, watercolor paints, pencil pouches, wide/college loose leaf paper, wide/college spiral notebooks, #2 pencil packs, blunt/sharp scissors, blue/black pen packages, colored pencils, markers, two-pocket folders, highlighters.

POTS ‘N PANS FOR BRIDGING Bridging is in desperate need of pots and pans—all shapes and sizes—but with particular attention to mid-sized cookware. Think of what a family would need. The cookware does not need to be new—but must be in GOOD condition—no scratched non-stick coated cookware; no banged-up heirloom...no junk! We will be collecting the pots and pans in boxes around the church—just look for the signs! The need is pressing, so please consider a quick response! Church and Society committee members will be collecting the pots and pans and delivering them to Bridging.

PAPER GROCERY BAGS continue to be collected for the Neighborhood House food shelf. Please bring in your unneeded paper grocery bags or shopping bags to church. These bags give people in need of food a way to carry it home. Thank you! |
